Heavy Rescue Update
The Rescue is at Station One, operational training and commpetency will follow for Station One. See your officer for a schedule. Intial loading will begin within a week and will take several weeks to complete. It is expected to be "in-service" by end of month.
Engine Update
The new engine bid was awarded to Frontline for the new engine, details to follow. Pre-construction meeting will occur July 22-23 in South Dakota. A final print should be available after that meeting.
TRANSCAER is in mid-Michigan, a great event, free to attend, just need to register. The dates are July 7, 9, 14, 16 and 21. Hazmat Techs and Operations are strongly encouraged to attend this event, walk up registations are accepted.
The "HazCat" kit 32 hour class is canceled per the vendor, if sufficient interest is generated we can commit to another class later this year.
